Learn these before trying a long combo: you are changing the character’s body position and release timing, rather than selecting a pre-recorded trick. ## Browser keyboard controls These bindings are listed on the [developer’s itch.io page](https://jamesnorth.itch.io/noomiclone). | Key | Action | What to practice | | --- | --- | --- | | Left Arrow | Arch | Watch how extending the body changes the swing. | | Space | Tuck | Pull into a compact body position during rotation. | | Up Arrow | Let go | Release the bar and observe your flight path. | | R | Reset | Return to the start for another attempt. | Start with one input at a time. Notice the result, reset, then change only one part of the next attempt. That makes it easier to connect an input with the character’s movement. ## Why is Space scrolling the page? Click inside the game after it loads. Keyboard input needs to reach the game frame. If the surrounding page still scrolls, click the game again or use the fullscreen control on the hosting page. Close any menu or text field that may have keyboard focus. If the game does not respond at all, check whether the scene has finished loading. Reload the developer’s page if it remains blank. Our [PC guide](https://noomiclone.co/guides/pc) covers a short troubleshooting sequence. ## What about mobile controls? The Android and iOS apps use on-screen controls. Their available actions and button arrangement can differ from the classic browser build. Check the controls and settings in your installed version rather than treating this keyboard table as a mobile walkthrough. Mobile release notes describe additional twist and replay features. A key suggested in a community video may refer to a different platform or a different game. We have only listed the browser bindings documented by the developer. ## A useful first drill 1. Open the official browser game and click inside it. 2. Try arching and watch the movement. 3. Reset, then try tucking so you can compare the positions. 4. Reset again, let a swing develop, and release. 5. Repeat while changing the release timing, keeping the other inputs similar. Continue with [how to play NoomiClone](https://noomiclone.co/guides/how-to-play), then work toward [your first regrab](https://noomiclone.co/guides/regrabs). ## Sources and scope Controls verified against the [developer’s browser listing](https://jamesnorth.itch.io/noomiclone). Mobile feature context comes from the [App Store version history](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/noomiclone/id1546690510). This guide covers in-game controls, not real-world gymnastics instruction. # How to Play NoomiClone — A Beginner’s Guide Source page: https://noomiclone.co/guides/how-to-play Reviewed: 2026-09-30 NoomiClone is a physics-based flipping game built around body position, momentum and timing. A small change to when you let go can change an entire attempt. Start with a repeatable swing before adding a complicated flip. ## 1. Choose your version For a quick desktop session, open the [official HTML5 game on itch.io](https://jamesnorth.itch.io/noomiclone). For a phone or tablet, use the official app stores linked on our [download page](https://noomiclone.co/download). The classic browser build and the current mobile app have different feature sets. Follow a tutorial for the version you actually have, especially when it mentions maps, twists or replays. ## 2. Learn body position before release timing In the browser, Left Arrow arches the character and Space tucks. Try them separately while watching the body position. Think of these as ways to shape the motion already happening, rather than instant buttons for a specific trick. Use R to restart. Keeping the starting position similar makes two attempts easier to compare. Our [controls guide](https://noomiclone.co/guides/controls) keeps the four documented keys in one place. ## 3. Build a swing you can recognize Stay on the bar for a moment and watch the character travel through the arc. Try to recognize the same point on consecutive swings. You do not need the largest possible swing to begin learning. If every attempt looks different, simplify the inputs. Try fewer changes to body position and use the same starting setup. A repeatable motion gives you a clearer way to judge your next change. ## 4. Release, then observe Up Arrow lets go of the bar. On your first few attempts, pay attention to the direction of travel. Where is the bar when you release? Are you moving toward it, below it or away from it? There is no single release time that fits every swing. Try one timing, reset, then try slightly earlier or later. Keep the body-position inputs similar while comparing the result. ## 5. Add one goal at a time First aim for a predictable release. Next try returning toward a bar. Then work on a [regrab](https://noomiclone.co/guides/regrabs). Add [flips](https://noomiclone.co/guides/flips) only when you can identify why a basic attempt succeeds or fails. A short session with one repeated goal is often easier to learn from than changing the map, timing and trick after every reset. In mobile versions with replays, reviewing an attempt can help you see what changed. ## Sources and scope The [developer’s browser page](https://jamesnorth.itch.io/noomiclone) documents the keyboard inputs. [Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.JamesWest.NoomiClone) describes the bar and tumbling modes. The practice sequence above is our suggested learning approach, not an official scoring system or guaranteed trick recipe. # NoomiClone Regrabs — Timing & Practice Guide Source page: https://noomiclone.co/guides/regrabs Reviewed: 2026-09-30 A regrab is a catch after releasing a bar. In NoomiClone, it turns one swing into another opportunity. Before trying to string several together, learn to send the character back toward a reachable bar. ## Set up a repeatable attempt Start from the same position and build a similar swing each time. Choose one bar as your target. Changing targets or adding an extra rotation makes it harder to understand what happened on a missed catch. Use the [browser controls](https://noomiclone.co/guides/controls) to experiment with body position. We do not list a separate “grab” key because the developer’s browser instructions document arch, tuck, let go and reset. ## Practice release timing first Press Up Arrow to let go. Watch the path taken by the character immediately afterward. Try a slightly earlier release on the next attempt, then a slightly later release. Keep the other inputs as consistent as possible. Your goal is a path that brings the hands back toward a bar. If you are travelling away from the target, adding more rotation alone is unlikely to fix the whole attempt. Work on the release path first. ## Add body-position changes gradually Once the flight path is more predictable, experiment with tuck and arch. Make one change per attempt so you can see whether it brings the character closer to a catch position. Avoid looking only at the number of flips. The position of the hands relative to the bar is a more useful observation when your immediate goal is a regrab. ## Diagnose a missed catch | What you notice | What to try next | | --- | --- | | You travel away from the target bar | Compare an earlier and a later release with the same swing. | | You pass close to the bar in an awkward orientation | Keep the release similar and change when you tuck or open. | | Every attempt has a different starting motion | Reset and simplify the swing before adding another input. | | The tutorial uses controls you do not have | Check whether it was recorded in the mobile app or another game. | These are practice experiments, not guaranteed fixes. The exact result depends on the motion and version you are playing. ## Browser and mobile differences The mobile version history includes improved mid-twist regrabs in version 2.1.0. That update is useful context for mobile tutorials, but it does not establish that the old browser build has the same feature. See our [version comparison](https://noomiclone.co/guides/browser-vs-mobile). Once a single regrab becomes repeatable, try continuing into a second swing before adding a harder flip. ## Sources [Developer’s browser page](https://jamesnorth.itch.io/noomiclone) for keyboard controls; [App Store release notes](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/noomiclone/id1546690510) for the mobile regrab update. The drills are editorial practice suggestions. # NoomiClone on PC — Official Browser Game & Setup Source page: https://noomiclone.co/guides/pc Reviewed: 2026-09-30 The clearest starting point for NoomiClone on PC is the developer’s HTML5 build on itch.io. It runs in a browser and does not require an Android emulator for that version. ## Open the official browser version 1. Visit [NoomiClone by jamesnorth](https://jamesnorth.itch.io/noomiclone). 2. Select **Run game** and let the scene load. 3. Click inside the game to give it keyboard focus. 4. Use Left Arrow to arch, Space to tuck, Up Arrow to let go and R to reset. Keep the [controls guide](https://noomiclone.co/guides/controls) open if you are learning the inputs. The browser page is published by the developer account and links to the mobile store listings. ## If the game is blank or slow to load A Unity browser game needs to load its assets before the scene is ready. Give the first load time to finish, especially on a slower connection. If it stays blank, reload the page and try an up-to-date browser with WebGL enabled. If a privacy extension blocks the game frame, check what it blocked before changing its settings. A different browser can help determine whether the problem is specific to your current setup. Avoid downloading an unfamiliar “PC installer” just to fix a browser-loading problem. ## If the keyboard does not respond Click inside the game canvas again. Space may scroll the surrounding page if the game does not have focus. Close any open menus or text fields, and try the hosting page’s fullscreen control if available. R resets the attempt. If that works but a trick does not, the issue may be timing rather than a broken control. ## Can I get all mobile maps on PC? Do not assume that the browser edition contains the mobile app’s latest maps or features. The developer’s browser page has longstanding questions about map selection, while mobile release notes describe a separate sequence of updates. If a feature is available only in the mobile app, the official app is the direct way to use it on a supported device. This site does not distribute a Windows installer or promise compatibility with a particular emulator. ## Sources [Official browser listing and comments](https://jamesnorth.itch.io/noomiclone); [mobile version history](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/noomiclone/id1546690510). Continue to [browser vs mobile](https://noomiclone.co/guides/browser-vs-mobile) for a platform checklist. # NoomiClone Browser vs Mobile — Which Version to Play? Source page: https://noomiclone.co/guides/browser-vs-mobile Reviewed: 2026-09-30 NoomiClone has a developer-hosted browser edition and mobile apps. They share the physics-flipping idea, but should not be treated as identical releases. Choose a version based on your device and the features you want to practice. ## A quick platform comparison | | Browser edition | Android / iOS apps | | --- | --- | --- | | Where to start | Developer’s itch.io page | Google Play or the App Store | | Input reference | Four documented keyboard inputs | On-screen controls and in-app settings | | Best starting use | Trying the classic bar experience on a computer | Playing the mobile release on a supported phone or tablet | | Feature reference | The browser build itself | Release notes for your installed app version | | Installation | Open the HTML5 build in a browser | Install through the official store | Our [PC guide](https://noomiclone.co/guides/pc) walks through browser setup. The [download page](https://noomiclone.co/download) has both mobile store links. ## Twists and replays belong to a specific version The iOS version history lists twists and replays in version 2.0.0, followed by adjustable twist speed and per-attempt replay clips in 2.1.0. Version 2.2.0 adds replay-saving options and tap indicators. These are mobile release notes. We have not verified those features in the classic browser build, so a mobile replay tutorial should not be presented as a browser feature guide. Android and iOS updates may also reach users at different times; check the listing on your own device. ## Why does a video show a different map? A clip might have been recorded in another release, on another platform, or even in a game inspired by NoomiClone. Start by comparing the controls and menu shown in the video with your own game. If your menu does not contain a map selector or a particular feature, repeated keyboard shortcuts from unrelated tutorials will not necessarily reveal one. Use guidance written for the version you can actually access. ## Which should you choose? Choose the browser edition if you want a quick desktop introduction to swinging and releasing. Choose an official mobile app when you want to explore the features described in its current store listing. For either version, learning a repeatable swing is a useful starting point. Our [beginner guide](https://noomiclone.co/guides/how-to-play) and [regrab practice guide](https://noomiclone.co/guides/regrabs) explain that approach while marking platform-specific advice. ## Sources and review date Checked on September 30, 2026 against the [itch.io game page](https://jamesnorth.itch.io/noomiclone), [Google Play listing](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.JamesWest.NoomiClone) and [App Store version history](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/noomiclone/id1546690510). Store information can change after this review. # NoomiClone Flips — Tuck, Rotation & Release Practice Source page: https://noomiclone.co/guides/flips Reviewed: 2026-09-30 NoomiClone gives you body-position controls rather than a menu of finished tricks. A flip emerges from your existing motion, when you release and how you change your position in the air. ## Begin with one rotation A single recognizable rotation is a better first goal than an unpredictable chain. Start with a swing you can repeat, then let go and observe the character’s orientation. Use the browser’s Space key to tuck and Left Arrow to arch. Experiment with how long you hold each position. Reset with R so you can compare attempts from a similar starting point. ## Separate the flight path from the rotation If you leave the bar travelling in an unhelpful direction, changing the tuck alone may not bring you to the desired target. Practice the release first. Then keep that timing similar while changing your body position. This separates two questions: “Where am I going?” and “Which way am I facing when I get there?” Both matter when you want the flip to end in a catch. ## Use a small practice loop 1. Start from the same setup and build a familiar swing. 2. Release at a point you can recognize. 3. Try a short tuck and observe the result. 4. Reset and change only the tuck timing or duration. 5. When the motion becomes easier to read, aim for a [regrab](https://noomiclone.co/guides/regrabs). This is a suggested drill. There is no universal number of frames or seconds that guarantees a flip across every swing, map and game version. ## Twists are a separate action Do not confuse a somersault with a twist. The mobile app’s update history describes twist buttons and twist-speed settings. Those mobile features should not be inferred from the four documented browser keys. If you are following a twist tutorial, first check the platform and version. Our [browser vs mobile guide](https://noomiclone.co/guides/browser-vs-mobile) explains the difference. ## Review before adding difficulty On a mobile version with replays, look at one attempt and identify the first thing you want to change. In the browser, reset and repeat a short sequence while it is still fresh in your memory. Increase difficulty by changing one variable: a longer rotation, a different target, or another regrab. Changing all three at once makes a failed attempt harder to diagnose. ## Sources [Developer’s browser controls](https://jamesnorth.itch.io/noomiclone) and [mobile release notes](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/noomiclone/id1546690510).
